The Greeks have souvlaki, fast food chains are serving their offerings disguised in pita wraps; now Volvo is about to offer Swedish C30 customers unique ‘vehicle wraps.’

Following the sale of Jaguar and Land Rover to India's Tata Motors, Volvo is Ford's lone remaining Premier Auto Group representative. And apparently, that 'only child' mentality has gone straight to the Swedish automaker's head. Volvo announced on Thursday that it will be launching a new line of automobile wraps for its C30 hatchback.

From April this year, Swedish C30 buyers will be able to order their new C30 with one of 20 official film coatings to transform their glassy little hatch into something a little more - awful. The wraps can be had in several different styles and patterns — from a Family Truckster-inspired woody look to a zebra design — and are guaranteed to last for two years. Volvo says that the wraps will not harm the C30's paint job and, in fact, actually protect the hatch's finish, and after two years, customers can choose to replace the film or have it completely removed. However, at a price of $3,130 U.S. they’re not exactly going to have people queuing up!
